As the Baron's favourite nephew, Feyd enjoys privileges afforded no others in the great house Harkonnen.

The Baron has great plans for his nephew Feyd. Sending his other nephew "The Beast Rabban" to rule unmercifully over Arrakis, the Baron plans to set up Feyd as a benevolent ruler when the people have had enough of Rabban's tyranny.

Regardless of his uncle's furtherance, Feyd has plans of his own, and has attempted on more than one occasion to assassinate his uncle Vladimir.
