A CHESS SET DEPICTING THE COMIC BOOKS OF MY YOUTH

Just as Dylan Thomas lamented his youth in "A child's Christmas in Wales". I am paying homage to mine
with my comic book chess set. In my pre teem years, those monthly flashes of colour and excitement
captivated my imagination, and in their own way, helped prepare me for this thing we call life.
(Sheeesh how melodramatic)

They taught me to accept with dignity (still working on that one) that you can't win every battle, and
sometimes unpleasant things happen to pleasant people. Like the time I gave away all my Spiderman
(issue #12 - 130) because I suffering from the delusion that I was through with them.

Images of Spiderman shooting his web as he streaks across the night sky, have
never really left me. Burned into my conscience, I couldn't purge them from my brain, if I wanted to.
I guess the older I get, the more I want to hang on to my childhood.

In that light, I offer this super hero chess set. For this one, a third team is offered. The players can
choose MARVEL vs. DC, or combine the characters from both publishers do battle against
some of the deadliest foes from both universe. The BAD GUY set
